National Clean Energy Summitt 2010, Sep 7th
Today Senator Reid announced the National Clean Energy Summit 2010. The Summit will take place on September 7, 2010 at the Cox Pavilion at the University of Nevada Las Vegas. Reid was joined on a conference call announcing the Summit by John Podesta, president of the Center for American Progress Fund and Neal Smatresk, President of UNLV. Nevada is a leader in clean and renewable energy projects on track to become a net energy exporting state and therefore ideal to host the National Clean Energy Summit. UNLV, in particular, is working toward a clean energy economy by building energy efficient buildings on its camps and offering a minor in clean energy studies to its students.

Felmy has more than 25 years exerience in energy, economic and environmental analysis. He received his bachelors and masters degrees in economics from the Pennsylvania State University and a Ph.D. in economics from the University of Maryland. John is a member of several professional associations including the American Economics Association and the International Association for Energy Economics.
